This is HQ's main objective for your teen AND you when you sign up for one of our TEACH Me ADHD: Director's Cut workshops! This new series is intended to support teens through the adolescent years when we want to give them more independence and practice of essential life skills before they go off to college.

Scaffolding for Success: Time Management and Organization

$100

60-minute Private Workshop (discounts apply for groups of 3 or more)

Behind the scenes, we call this "Scaffolding for Success." In the theater, scaffolding provides the framework for the stage. When referring to executive functioning, scaffolding refers to the use of external supports and structures to help people overcome executive functioning challenges and complete tasks successfully.

In this workshop, teens will:

  • Get to know themselves and their needs to build their sets or "scaffolding" for success
  • Learn about time management and organization, as well as how to identify time wasters
  • Gain access to workshop downloadable printables

In addition:

  • Parents will receive 4 weekly coaching emails following the workshop so that as their teen's "stage manager" they can ensure ongoing performances as teens implement strategies learned

Learn from Anywhere

We know teens have busy lives so we offer a rotating schedule of this and each of the TEACH Me ADHD: Director's Cut Teen Workshop Series throughout the year.

Each of the 10 workshops are 90-minutes and offered on zoom. Your teen can log on using their phone, tablet, or computer and use headphones for privacy. We will be offering each of 10 workshops multiple times a year so your teen can always sign up based on their schedule and time of year.

Teens can sign up for one, a few, or all the workshops!

Teen-Focused

This workshop is only for teens, between 13 to 18 years of age, so they can "see" and learn alongside their peers. We've designed the overall series with a "director," "actor" and theater theme to empower teens to "re-write their script" so to realize their true potential.

Moreover, teens need ongoing support or maybe they have additional questions. Teens will gain access to our free, secure Kajabi Communities app for anytime access to our instructor. The forum is monitored at all times and only teens registered will have access.

Parent Support Included

Teens can invite parents to join them during the live workshop, either on or off camera.

However, we get that teens may have mixed feelings about their parent sitting in with them.

Parent attendance is optional as parents will receive an email with access to resources and a video summarizing content at the conclusion of the workshop. These tools are intended to help you talk confidently with your teen and reinforce ongoing practice!

Teen Workshop:

Time Management and Organization

Workshop Description: Behind the scenes, we fondly call this workshop "Scaffolding for Success." It's because you get to know yourself and your needs to build your unique 'scaffolding' (in theater terms, scaffolding is like your own personal 'set') for success. Teens will learn about time management and organization, as well as, how to identify time wasters.

After You Sign Up: As soon as you register you will get confirmation of enrollment sent to both yours and your teen's email along with instructions your teen can use to download the FREE Kajabi Communities app.

SPECIAL NOTE: **Since this is a new offering, if there not enough registrations for any particular class, the instructor may choose to reschedule for another time so to ensure a suitable number of participants. If this should happen you will be notified 48 hours in advance.**

If you have any questions once registered, please send us an email at amy@letstalkkidshealth.org

Meet Your "Assistant Director"

This 90 minute workshop is led by Dr Kristen Stuppy, general pediatrician based in Kansas who brings over 25 years of cumulative experience working with families in the clinic and online. She is passionate about this work and will be your trusted "assistant director" so that teens can take on both director and actor roles throughout the run of THEIR show.
